Spring has officially sprung and tomorrow brings a new moon! Now, I'm no expert, but it seems to be the perfect time for new beginnings and some (much over-due) organization!
So, with that said, I am writing my first blog post today.. I'm really not much of a "writer" so please just know that going in. I simply want to use this as a space to talk about what I've been up to and what I plan to do. If you're reading this, you're at least somewhat interested in the goings on of my "art life"... So, for that, I thank you!
April was a whirlwind of a month... I spent most of my time gathering sponsorship for Art is Wild (happening May 20th... see my events page here for more information). I also had the opportunity to participate in the Corvallis Arts Walk on April 21st and I even sold one of the paintings to the owner of Madison Plaza in downtown Corvallis. Long story short, he wants to hang my work inside the plaza... and I'm still over the moon about it! If you end up on that side of town you should stop in to the plaza and check it out.. I'm assuming it will be hanging up there by the first week of June. While you're at the plaza, be sure to check out some of the other little stores and venues they have! A couple of my favorites include My Father's Flowers and Studio 262.
Now, back to new beginnings.... My husband and I applied for a new townhouse last night! This is very exciting for us since we've completely out-grown the little 700SF apartment we currently reside in. We are excited for so many different reasons but one of my favorite reasons is... ART STUDIO! Do you realize what this means? It means that I will have a space for myself to create new things! That means more artwork in my Society6 account. That means I might actually get to (eventually) open an Etsy account. That means that I will have more space to find inspiration and therefore more opportunity to take on commission requests. There is opportunity everywhere!
So, wish us luck on the townhouse! In the meantime, be sure to subscribe to my blog (I hope to be posting more soon) and follow my facebook page!
Thank you all for your continued support! Be sure to let know if you have any comments/suggestions... I love feedback!
